foreign anime documentary

After a solid thirty minutes of sweating on the elliptical machine at work this morning, I was more than happy to go home where I could sit back, eat a bowl of Cheerios and blueberries and watch a foreign film before I fell asleep and that is what I did. Lately I have been alternating between anime, documentaries and foreign movies. Personally I think that those three types of entertainment are a good mix. The anime reminds me that animation can be so much better than what most Americans think of in that genre. Documentaries keep my mind from growing weak and finally foreign films allow me to see parts of the world far beyond my window.

There was a showing of my place this afternoon, which in my mind definitely had its good points and its bad points. First of all, this was not something unexpected, because I had known about it from my real estate broker on Friday. Plus I realize that if I ever want my place to sell, I need as many people as possible to see it, but at the same time one in the afternoon is right in the middle of my usual sleep pattern. I suppose that I could have said that that was a bad time and suggested something earlier or later in the day, but I didn't want to cause any trouble. I want to be as accommodating as I can at this point. So to kill time when the people were there, I walked over to the library to enjoy the free air conditioning and maybe do a little light reading. Usually I highly enjoy spending time in the library, but sleep was something that I needed more than a good magazine.

When I got back home, there were small signs here and there that someone had indeed been there. More often than not these tend to be harmless. Today, however, there were a few things that bothered me. Judging from what I saw in the bathroom there must have been a small child in the group, because not only had the roll of toilet paper been left slightly mangled, there were rolled up pieces of it on the floor and in the sink. Why they were there I had no idea, but thankfully they appeared to be free of any human waste. It was gross and more than a little disturbing.
