river journey past For being a Friday, I have to admit that today was not that bad of a day and I wish that I could say that about more Fridays than I do. Whenever I can sit outside and read a book for hours, I consider that time well spent and that is exactly what happened today. The book that occupied my time was River at the Center of the World written by Simon Winchester. I had started it a week ago when I was spending time with my family up north, but hadn't had a chance to get back to it since I returned home last week Friday. Being able to travel up the Yangtze River is an amazing journey and something that I want to do if I can. Yes, the river is not the same with the Three Gorges dam in place, but it is still something that I want to see and experience. |
