overcast but warm There are only three weeks left in the semester and today I reached the sixty hour goal that I needed for the internship. That does not mean that I am done though. My professor has yet to see me teach and I was hoping that that would happen next week. Sadly it won't. I waited a little too long to ask her to come and she's already completely booked for next week. Now I am going to have to wait until the following week to check that off my list of things to do. This does and doesn't upset me. This unexpected delay gives me more time to prepare and I also get some more experience. I see both of those things in a positive light. On the down side having to wait two weeks is not what I had hoped would happen. Next week might have been better for me, but there is nothing that I can do about it now. I wish that I could describe what it is like to speak with someone from China and with someone from Mexico at the same time. I literally saw East meeting West this morning and that makes anything that I see at work seem pointless. Plus being around those people is so rewarding. They care about what I have to say and they have some incredible stories to tell. Very seldom do I hear them complain. Okay, maybe I am romanticizing this slightly, but whenever I am there it feels like time well spent. ... With all of the recent rain and warm weather, the tree in my front yard has finally started to bud. I suspect that there will be leaves on the tree before I leave for Europe next month. |
