ten days over

Ann and I were back to our playful selves Friday night. It was the most joking, teasing and touching that we had done in a long time. Naturally it was the highlight of my night, because once Ann left, Nicole wasn't around to take her place. She had to train someone else for the night and couldn't sit with me much to the dismay of both of us.

The night didn't start out so calmly though. In fact it started with Ann relaying an odd event that happened during the day. Somehow something that I had written the previous night triggered some confusion in the department. To be more precise Ann and Donna were arguing over something that I had written to the day crew. Neither of them seemed to understand what I meant and then the natural antagonism between the two of them took over. Personally I found it amusing and it showed how little people pay attention to what other people say to them be it verbally or in written form.

These first two weeks of the year have been busy ones for me and part of me hopes that the trend continues through the year. Work might have wore me down slightly this week, but I still managed to get other things done despite work trying to get in the way.

I truly wonder if I could do a week of the journal without mentioning work once. Then again I know why I do mention it. Most of my social interaction happens there. I mean I can't go without mentioning Ann or Nicole at least once during the week.
